A podcast is a digital audio file. This file can be linked to a website that uses RSS feed so people can subscribe or you can link for manual download. A podcast can include a mix of voice, music, sound, video or photos. It can be a syndicated download which automatically updates. Podcasts provide infromation access at the point of need.
